Please don't ask when I'm going to finish these.  They're farm trucks (at least that's how I justify dragging them home).  When they run, they're done.

poster41472786.jpg (105837 bytes)I bought this 1947 Dodge WF-32 1 1/2ton truck Labor day of 2006. I had
to do a brake rebuild of the truck. New front wheel cylinders and rebuilt
rears along with new shoes. Over the last 10 months I have given the truck
a lot of TLC and clean up. The old paint has some shine again and is red
for the most part. When time permits I have hammered and dolly'd out some
of the dings and small dents it had. My next project it to get the dent
out of the top edge of the passenger side of the cab. I was told this dent
probably happened when someone lowered the spout on an old time combine
years ago too early and hit the truck.

I have changed all the fluids and dropped the oil pan to clean out the
sludge. This truck has 29xxx original miles and everything still works on
this truck. Gauges and interior light as well as outside lights work,
windows and regulator all open. Heater still works as well as the hydraulic
dump. Still 6volt positive ground electrical system. Truck is all original
and will stay that way.

It came with a Omaha Standard bed with tall sides and the metal rear slider door to haul wheat. I still have
these sides in storage. Truck was bought new March 20, 1947 with 1095 miles on it. I have this hand written
in pencil in the original owners manual that was in the glove box as well as the jack, lug wrench and hand start
crank that was under the seat.

Truck was built in Detroit so I assume it was driven a good distance before being sold here in Kansas.
It was used on a farm near Langdon Kansas and then was sold in an estate sale. The new owner then sold it to
a friend of his and then I bought it about 9 months later. I think this time frame was all within 2 years from
original owner estate sale.
