Wheat State Chapter Trucks at Colorado Springs, 2007

The Wheat State Chapter of the American Truck Historical Society was given the green light by the Society's board of directors a its special meeting this past February in Kansas City, Mo., which chose Hutchinson for the 2008 show.

The convention and truck show will take place at the Kansas State Fairgrounds, which encompasses over 600 acres.  Hutchinson has been home to the Kansas State Fair for over 100 years and spends millions of dollars each year to keep its facilities up-to-date, said Duane Ely, chapter president. 

The Society's annual gathering in Hutchinson will have more of a small town feel.   Small town atmosphere aside, Hutchinson and the Kansas Wheat Chapter are well equipped to the 2008 ATHS convention.
