Third Annual Truck Show at Newell's Truck Plaza in Newton [Note from webmaster: First off, I'm new to these events and I apologize if I mispelled anyone's names. So far I have the photos I took with my own camera, and the photos from Todd Wilson's website ( www.chargerfever.com/newton2006/index.html for the rest of his photos, which are better than mine anyway. Thanks much Todd.) to fill in the ones I missed because my memory filled up. I saw some trucks that neither of us shot, so if you have shots we missed or ones you think are better, pictures of people, please e-mail them to donaldwgrier@yahoo.com . If you provide model information and the exact year on your truck, I'll update this page. Also, let me know if for any reason you would rather not have your truck pictured here. Thanks. I'm going to use show pictures to fill in the "Our Trucks" page, but it occurs to me most members already have shots of their trucks they prefer to use (even better if you have "before and after" and restoration shots). Click for larger images. (They may open in an editor, rather than a your browser) 1956 White WG-226 and Jaeger Mixer, unknown owner. Peterbuilt w/12-71 Detroit Bud Redmond's 1920 REO dump truck. I'm told he found it in a Wichita salvage yard in the 40's. They don't make them like this anymore.
Bud Redmond's Hudson. Trust me, the photos do not do justice to the detail on this truck, to the vintage Harley and Arrow bikes, to the period accessories and antiques, the gramaphone like speakers pumping out bluegrass and the homemade calliope.
